Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers You Can’t Miss
One of my obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were established in the year 2000 after the collaboration between Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have grown into a major designer brand with boutiques worldwide, and it’s one that style enthusiasts really love.
I’ve known about Golden Goose for years and I would often look through what FarFetch had, as they always had an fantastic selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always felt the price was too high and looked too similar to Converse, so they were always shoes that were just in the back of my mind. A few years earlier, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. Seeing his pair up close and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re artisanal, I was totally into it. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have stronger distressing than others, so the variation is wide.
If you’re buying at a store, it might be a good idea to ask to see a few of the same shoe and pick from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to trust the surprise! The pair of sneakers that I was first obsessed with are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been on the market forever, but I never ended up purchasing them.
My first sneaker crush was the one shown in the main image, https://gooseshoes.org/green-ball-star.html and although they’ve remained on the market for ages, I never made the purchase. Eventually, I chose the silver style from Shopbop, and it’s a pair I’ve worn periodically through the years (see here as well as my Golden Goose review). I absolutely love them! I even picked up a second identical pair and gave them a makeover with black laces and a burgundy star—so chic! In my collection, I’ve also got a velvet burgundy Golden Goose and two different high top versions! Now I’m really craving a black pair, though I already own black canvas Converse, so I’m debating whether I should add another similar one, even though they’re distinct.
Anyway, here is my Golden Goose Top 10 Superstar List. I’m excited to finally have luxury sneakers that you can use without stress since you aren’t worried about messing them up — they’re already worn-in. It’s kind of an ingenious idea, and I can see these now becoming the type of shoe you collect. They are so popular among celebrities and fashion bloggers!
